The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits rises above the Côte de Nuits, west of the Corton woods above Gevrey-Chambertin.
The vineyards lie between 300 and 400 metres above sea level. The Pinot Noir grapes thrive on fertile soil of limestone with some marl and clay.
DESCRIPTION
The 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Pinot Noir impresses with ripe fruit aromas and spices.
AGEING
Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Pre-fermentation cold maceration at around 8°C. Aged on fine lees for 10 months in oak barrels that have been used between 1 and 5 times.
TASTING
On the palate, the 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Pinot Noir is delicate and aromatic, underlined by fine tannins.
Balanced and broad, this wine offers lovely aromatic intensity and a fresh finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Serve at 14-15°C with white meats such as rabbit, but also lamb and duck and grilled meats. Medium-strong cheeses: Camembert, Saint Paulin, Morbier, Reblochon…
