DESCRIPTION
The 2017 Domaine Maldant Pauvelot Collection Aloxe Corton Valozières 1er Cru is a wine comparable to a Chambertin.
The bouquet conveys a composition of juicy morello cherries, black cherries and ripe blackberries. The fruit aromas stand in balanced harmony with spicy hints of caraway and pepper.
AGEING
Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Cold maceration under carbon dioxide to protect aromas and colour. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels.
TASTING
On the palate, this Burgundy is wonderfully complex and generous, with dense structure.
Impressive spice notes unfold within a silky tannin structure that carries through to a long finish.
FOOD PAIRING
