Bollinger Spéciale Cuvée

COLOUR:
Radiant golden yellow.

NOSE:
Wonderfully delicate and multi-layered aromas of brioche, pear, fresh walnuts and spices.

PALATE:
Perfectly balanced aromas of honey malt, bread dough, baked apple and ginger biscuits, additionally emphasised by notes of marzipan and fennel seed. All this is underscored by a racy acidity that fits wonderfully into the layers of flavour.

DESCRIPTION:
In its commitment to quality, Bollinger's Special Cuvée comes first. Predominantly Premier and Grand Cru wines are blended into the cuvée. After each harvest, Bollinger selects some of the wines that best characterise the vintage as reserves and stores them for five to fifteen years in reserve magnums under natural cork. To guarantee the quality and freshness of the "vins de réserve" over the years, a slight bottle fermentation is permitted. This method is unique in Champagne. The blend of the Special Cuvée contains 5–10% "vins de réserve".
