2024 Magura Rubin Single Vineyard Rosé
Magura Winery, established in 1967 in the picturesque village of Rabisha in north-western Bulgaria, is famed for its sparkling and still wines aged in the spectacular Magura Cave. This Single Vineyard Rosé is made from Rubin, a Bulgarian crossing of Nebbiolo and Syrah, using a short maceration to preserve a delicate pale colour and fresh fruit profile.
Grape variety: 100% Rubin (a Bulgarian crossing of Nebbiolo and Syrah).
Terroir: Single-vineyard parcel in north-western Bulgaria's Danubian Plain, with limestone-influenced soils and a moderate continental climate.
Vinification: Short skin maceration for pale colour and fresh aromatics, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel and short lees ageing.
COLOUR: Pale, gentle pink.
NOSE: Pink grapefruit, ripe strawberry and subtle confectionery notes.
PALATE: Elegant and balanced, combining juicy red fruit with vibrant acidity and a clean finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs well with soft cheeses, salmon, seafood pasta and grilled lamb. Serve at 8-10°C.
