2024 Château d'Esclans Estate Rosé
The Château d'Esclans estate cuvée sits between Rock Angel and Les Clans in the house range. Made entirely from grapes grown on the château's own vineyards and aged in French oak, it shows what the Esclans terroir can express under close attention.
Grape varieties: Old-vine Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino).
Terroir: Estate-only parcels on clay-limestone hillside slopes surrounding the château.
Vinification: Whole-bunch pressing followed by fermentation and ageing in French oak demi-muids for around ten months.
COLOUR: Pale pink with warm copper reflections.
NOSE: White peach, wild strawberry, citrus zest, brioche and a hint of fennel.
PALATE: Concentrated and textured, with fresh acidity, a subtle oak weave and a long, chalky finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Grilled fish, veal, roast chicken and Provençal cuisine. Serve at 10-12°C.
