2021 Dragomir Single Barrel Chardonnay

Dragomir's Single Barrel Chardonnay is a small-production cuvée from the family estate near Plovdiv, in Bulgaria's Thracian Valley. Owners and oenologists Natalia Gadjeva and Konstantin Stoev have built a reputation for precision, terroir-driven wines, and this Chardonnay is one of their most ambitious whites.

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay.

Terroir: Selected parcels in the Thracian Valley, on clay-limestone and alluvial soils. Warm continental climate moderated by surrounding mountain ranges, ensuring balanced ripening.

Ageing: Barrel-fermented and aged for 18 months in French oak (a mix of 225L and 400L casks), followed by a further 18 months in bottle before release.

COLOUR: Deep golden yellow.

NOSE: Ripe stone fruit, vanilla, toasted hazelnut and a subtle smoky note.

PALATE: Rich and creamy, with well-integrated oak, fine acidity and a long, structured finish.

FOOD PAIRING: Serve at 12-14°C with roasted poultry, lobster, veal in cream sauce or aged hard cheeses such as Comté and Parmigiano.

We deliver in Sofia and across Bulgaria. Pickup available at the bar at 33 Sveti Kliment Ohridski Street during opening hours.
