2020 Gérard Bertrand 'Côte des Roses' Sauvignon Blanc
Côte des Roses celebrates the Mediterranean lifestyle of southern France. Recognisable by its iconic rose-shaped bottle base - designed by a young artist from the École Boulle - it has become one of Gérard Bertrand's most charming signatures.
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
Terroir: Languedoc vineyards on a varied mosaic of limestone, schist and gravel soils. The climate, influenced by both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, ensures balanced ripening.
Vinification: Destemmed grapes are cool-settled and fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperature, then aged briefly on fine lees to preserve aromatic precision.
COLOUR: Bright pale yellow with green reflections.
NOSE: Expressive bouquet of citrus, gooseberry, white peach, white flowers and a touch of fresh herb.
PALATE: Crisp and lively, with clean acidity, juicy fruit and a refreshing mineral finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, fresh salads, sushi and goat cheese. Serve at 9-11°C.
