2018 Château Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 1er Cru Classé

Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the five First Growths of the 1855 Bordeaux classification and the most iconic name in Pauillac. The estate has been owned by the Rothschild family since 1868. The 2018 vintage on the Left Bank is widely considered exceptional, producing wines of great purity and depth.

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend with Merlot, plus small proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Terroir: 112 hectares on the deep gravel ridges of northern Pauillac, with limestone subsoil.

Vinification & ageing: Hand-harvested grapes are vinified in oak vats. Aged 18-22 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

COLOUR: Deep ruby with purple highlights.

NOSE: Sublime and refined - blackcurrant, dark cherry, violet, cedar, graphite and warm spice.

PALATE: Aristocratic and seamless, with cashmere tannins, deep concentration and an extraordinarily long, perfumed finish.

FOOD PAIRING: A wine for the most special occasions. Cellaring potential of 30-50+ years. Serve at 16-18°C with rib of beef, rack of lamb, venison and the finest aged cheeses.

We deliver in Sofia and across Bulgaria. Pickup available at the bar at 33 Sveti Kliment Ohridski Street during opening hours.
