2018 Domaine Roland Sounit Rully
Domaine Roland Sounit is a small family estate in the Côte Chalonnaise village of Bouzeron, working a patchwork of parcels across Rully and the surrounding villages. Rully is the northernmost appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise, producing both elegant white and red Burgundies on its clay-limestone slopes.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay.
Terroir: Clay-limestone soils on south- and east-facing slopes between the Côte de Beaune and the Saône valley.
Vinification & ageing: Fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in French oak barrels (a portion new). Aged on fine lees for around 12 months.
COLOUR: Pale yellow with green hints.
NOSE: Fresh white flowers, green apple, citrus and a discreet hint of hazelnut.
PALATE: Crisp and well-balanced, with lively acidity, gentle oak influence and a clean, mineral finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs beautifully with oysters, grilled fish, poultry, soft cheeses and creamy pasta. Serve at 10-12°C.
We deliver in Sofia and across Bulgaria. Pickup available at the bar at 33 Sveti Kliment Ohridski Street during opening hours.
