Le Renette Rosato Verona IGT - Ca'Botta
Ca'Botta is a family winery in the Valpolicella hills near Verona, run by the Magnabosco family. Their 'Le Renette' Rosato is a fresh, modern Veronese rosé made with the same indigenous grapes that produce Valpolicella's celebrated reds, but in a lighter, immediate style.
Grape varieties: Predominantly Corvina, with Rondinella and Molinara - the traditional Veronese trio.
Terroir: Hillside vineyards in the Valpolicella zone of the Veneto, on calcareous clay soils with good diurnal temperature variation.
Vinification: Brief skin maceration for delicate pink colour, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel and short lees ageing.
COLOUR: Bright pale pink with peachy reflections.
NOSE: Wild strawberry, redcurrant, white peach and a hint of rose petal.
PALATE: Crisp, balanced and refreshing, with juicy red-fruit flavours and a clean, lifted finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs beautifully with antipasti, summer salads, grilled fish, light pasta and soft cheeses. Serve at 8-10°C.
