2023 GLATT Spätburgunder Rosé Baden
From Baden, Germany's sun-blessed Pinot heartland, GLATT's Spätburgunder Rosé reflects the warm climate and varied soils of the region. Made from Pinot Noir grapes pressed soon after harvest, it is a dry, modern German-style rosé with precision and fruit-driven charm.
Grape variety: 100% Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir).
Terroir: Baden's warm continental climate and mosaic of volcanic and limestone soils, especially around the Kaiserstuhl, allow Pinot Noir to ripen with both depth and freshness.
Vinification: Direct press of fresh-picked grapes, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature to preserve the wine's lively character.
COLOUR: Bright salmon-pink.
NOSE: Fresh aromas of strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry and rose petal.
PALATE: Dry, crisp and lively, with delicate red-berry fruit and a clean, refreshing finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Excellent as an aperitif, or with summer salads, grilled fish, antipasti, light pasta and soft cheeses. Serve at 8-10°C.
