2022 GLATT Spätburgunder Rosé Baden
This GLATT Spätburgunder Rosé comes from Germany's sunniest wine region, Baden, where Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) reaches outstanding ripeness and elegance. Made in the modern, drier German rosé style, it is direct-pressed for freshness and gentle aromatics.
Grape variety: 100% Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir).
Terroir: Baden in south-west Germany, with a warm, sunny climate and a varied mosaic of volcanic and limestone soils that give Spätburgunder both ripeness and freshness.
Vinification: Direct-pressed Pinot Noir grapes are fermented at low temperature in stainless steel, preserving the wine's delicate pale hue and lively aromatic profile.
COLOUR: Pale salmon-pink.
NOSE: Wild strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant and a delicate floral lift.
PALATE: Dry and balanced, with crisp acidity, juicy red-fruit flavours and a clean, refreshing finish.
FOOD PAIRING: A versatile companion to summer salads, grilled fish, charcuterie, light pasta dishes and soft cheeses. Serve at 8-10°C.
