2021 Château de la Galinière Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire BIO Rosé
Château de la Galinière is an organic family estate in the heart of the Sainte-Victoire AOP, the dramatic limestone massif east of Aix-en-Provence immortalised by Cézanne. The estate has been farmed organically since the 1970s and produces some of Provence's most precise, mineral rosés.
Grape varieties: A traditional Provençal blend led by Grenache, with Syrah and Cinsault.
Terroir: Limestone-rich soils at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, certified organic, with a Mediterranean climate cooled by altitude.
Vinification: Brief skin maceration for pale colour, followed by gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel.
COLOUR: Very pale, luminous pink with peachy reflections.
NOSE: Bright aromas of red berry, pink grapefruit, white peach and a hint of garrigue herbs.
PALATE: Crisp, mineral and refreshing, with delicate fruit and a clean, gently saline finish.
FOOD PAIRING: A perfect aperitif, also excellent with summer salads, grilled fish, white meats and Mediterranean fare. Serve at 8-10°C.
