2015 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Pauillac 2ème Cru Classé

One of Pauillac's most celebrated Second Growths, Château Pichon-Longueville Baron sits on deep gravels next door to Château Latour. The 2015 vintage in Pauillac is widely regarded as outstanding, producing classic, age-worthy wines of great purity and structure.

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend with Merlot, plus small proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Terroir: 73 hectares of deep Quaternary gravels on the gravel plateau of Pauillac. The estate has been owned by AXA Millésimes since 1987.

Vinification & ageing: Hand-harvested grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete tanks, then aged around 18 months in French oak barrels with a high proportion of new oak.

COLOUR: Deep ruby with purple highlights.

NOSE: Profound bouquet of blackcurrant, dark plum, graphite, cedar and a hint of tobacco and dark chocolate.

PALATE: Full-bodied, structured and refined, with polished tannins and a long, layered finish.

FOOD PAIRING: Pair with prime rib, rack of lamb, venison and aged hard cheeses. Will reward extended cellaring of 15-25+ years. Serve at 16-18°C.

We deliver in Sofia and across Bulgaria. Pickup available at the bar at 33 Sveti Kliment Ohridski Street during opening hours.
